There is something about faith and the virtue of faith and this place transcends normal religion and moves towards spirituality. Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah is one of the holiest of SUFI Shrines in Delhi, with hundreds of threads being tied on the lattice windows, carrying worshippers' prayers. The serenity for the soul is attained at this place. The scent of rose water and incense sticks and the qawwali in the background will take you to the magic lite feeling. 

You can find the poor of the poorest and the richest of the richest here who come here seeking the blessings and peace. There will be a vegetarian food served for all the people who come here to this place. It is believed that all your wishes and prayers will be granted by the Sufi master. Thousands of Muslims including Hindus, Christians and people from other religions visit Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah every week. The mausolea of poet Hazrat Amir Khusro and Mughal princess Jehan Ara Begum are also located within the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah complex, and Inayat Khan's mausoleum is just around the corner. It is the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Nizamuddin and a pilgrimage site for Sufi devotees and other people from around the world.

This holy place is one of the best Sufi places to visit in Delhi and a great tourist place in Delhi. The entire shrine is designed beautifully with spectacular architecture. The food around the place is amazingly good.

HISTORY OF THE ATTRACTION

Nizamuddin Auliya was born in Badayan, UP in 1238 and died around 1325. His Dargah was built by Muhammad Bin Tughlaq from Tughlaq Dynasty - who was also his keen follower. Currently, you can witness people offering daily prayers and serving vegetarian food at this place.

GETTING THERE

The nearest metro station to get is IP Estate metro station on the Blue Line of Delhi Metro. From there you just need to take an auto to reach  Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah. It is located at  Boali Gate Road, Nizamuddin, Nizamuddin West Slum, Nizamuddin West, New Delhi.

Qawwali is a popular sacred musical form associated with Sufi music in India. It's a coalition of devotional verse and Hindustani music and was formed by the great Indian scholar, poet and mystic Amir Khusrow. The shrine is abodes one of the most prominent Qawwali families, the Nizami Bandhu, they have been singing at Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah for many years. The Hazrat Nizamuddin ki Dargah is located near the Hazrat Nizamuddin ki Baoli.
