It is a significant Buddhist pilgrimage place located in Manali. It is also known as The Manali Gompa, it was constructed in 1960. Since then it has given shelter to a large number of people, who have come from Tibet, Spiti, Lahaul, Nepal, Tibet, and Kinnaur. Myriad tourists gather from all over the world to visit this small monastery to seek blessings and tranquillity. Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa Monastery is the most exquisite example of Buddhist monasteries in Manali, Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa Monastery is structured in a pagoda-style architecture with a classic tiered tower at the top. It is always gratifying to visit the monastery as it dwells amidst the lush green rustic surroundings of Manali. Other than its pristine situation, the monastery is renowned for its wall paintings, Chortens and a large sculpture of Lord Buddha. Fascinating ideologies of Buddhism are the main theme of the wall paintings in Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa. Many small shops are selling unique Tibetan handicrafts and carpets here. This site is considered to have an ancient connection that this is believed, the Manu Maharishi Temple is constructed on the site where, the ark of Manu, the initiator of civilization, arrived after the great flood.
