This Temple is devoted to Hadimba Devi, who is the wife of Bhima(one of the Pandavas) from the Great Hindu Epic Mahabharata. Until Ghatotkacch(Son of Bhima and Hadimba Devi) came to an age-eligible to be ruler, Hadimba Devi ruled over the country. Once Ghatotkacch was eligible and took charge as a ruler, Hadimba Devi left for the Himalayas to do a severe austere meditation to attain salvation. With her ascetic life dedicated to penance, Hadimba gained rare supernatural powers and hence turned a goddess. Since then it is said that Goddess Hadimba Devi is generously blessing and guiding the people of the region.

It is a magnificent Temple where you get to witness carvings of numerous deities embellished on wooden door frames and decorated with impressive artwork with horns of animals on the walls.
The Exteriors of this holy shrine are established with a 24m high tower that is 3 tiers designed in timber tiles and the topmost conical roof is made of metal.

By Roadways: You can reach Hadimba Devi temple by public bus transportation as there are plenty of options from Delhi to Manali.
However, Manali is connected to major cities in North India via bus route.
By Railways: The nearest railway station would be Joginder Nagar railway station to Hadimba Temple at a distance of 165.3 kilometres.
By Airways: Kullu-Manali Airport in Bhuntar is 52.5 kilometres away from Hadimba Temple. From the airport, you can hire a car or taxi to reach the temple which will take 2hrs approx.
