Khajjiar Lake is located in the picturesque hill station of Khajjiar, in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India. Elevated at a height of around 1,920 meters above sea level between the memorizing hill station Dalhousie town and Chamba town. The lake is situated in an extensive lush green landscape, with charming evergreen cedar trees enclosing it from all sides.  The Khajjiar Lake got its name from the famous regional God Khajji Nag. Khajjiar Lake has been gradually drying up over the years and is now almost on the edge of disappearing.   WHAT IS KHAJJIAR LAKE AT HIMACHAL PRADESH FAMOUS FOR: Khajjiar Lake is famous for being a floating island, amidst a lush green grass growing on the lake’s surface, a beautiful sight and a tranquil place to relish your vacation.
