Rohtang Pass is also known as Rohtang La, a very famous tourist destination near Manali and popular attractions of Himachal Pradesh. Found at an altitude of about 4000 meters from sea level, Rohtang is popular amongst tourists as a place to behold snow around the year. Rohtang Pass is one of the best places to visit in Himachal Pradesh with families and friends during summers as there is snow in abundance and everyone can indulge in snow sports. WAYS TO REACH ROHTANG PASS:

The distance from Manali Rohtang Pass is approximately 53 kilometres away from the city centre and can be reached via private vehicles, rented cabs or local transport. Rohtang Pass is open between the months of June to October and is closed throughout the winter season. You can reach Rohtang Pass from Delhi by choosing a bus or a taxi to reach Manali and from any part of Manali, you can reach the Rohtang pass by a private cab or by your own car. You could either opt for many Himachal Road Transport Corporation buses or buses by private operators that take travellers up to the Rohtang Pass road. 

WHAT IS ROHTANG PASS FAMOUS FOR:

Positioned at a high altitude of 3979 metres and distanced apart by 51 kilometres from Manali, Rohtang Pass is on the highway to Keylong and Leh. This Rohtang pass is a gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh valley.

BEST TIME TO VISIT ROHTANG PASS:

During the winter season, the path remains closed but is open between June to October for motor vehicles. The best time to visit the Manali Rohtang pass is between May to November. In the month of May, Rohtang becomes the adventures hub and it is considered as the peak month and you can witness a lot of tourists and adventure activities in the month of May.
