Kheerganga Trek, which I located at a height of around 2950 m, is one of the most well-known and popular trekking destinations. Located deep in the Parvati Valley, it is often said that hundreds of years back, it was the abode of Lord Shiva and is perceived as holy. Kheerganga is indeed nature's paradise and the beauty of the place is spellbinding. The place is very famous for its hot water spring and a splendid view of the valley around.

About the Trek

You can wholeheartedly enjoy the local food and cafes on the way to enjoy favorite meals. After a while, you will reach the Rudra Nag temple and as you cross the waterfall, the path will get a little steeper and then you will start spotting the blue and yellow huts. It indicates the final milestone of the Kasol Kheerganga trek which is of the Kheerganga top. Upon finally reaching Kheerganga, you can head straight for the Parvati Kund, where there are natural hot water springs. It becomes all the more attractive in the winter season. After reaching the top, you can unwind and relax into the allotted camps and enjoy the music session that will be organized at the campsite which is the cherry on the cake.

About Camping

For a decent stay, you can choose alpine tents that have common washroom facilities. For some luxurious stay, you can go for Swiss tents that have attached washroom and each of them have beds, seating area as well as electric socket. All the tent offers amenities such as mattresses, pillows and clean linen. In the evening you can enjoy the musical night with a bonfire around.

How To Reach The Campsite?

The campsite in Kasol is somewhere around 1.5 km away from the Kasol market and either public or private transportation can be took to reach the main location. Parking space for private vehicles is also available over there so you need not worry if you're going with your vehicle. Things To Carry

• A Valid ID proof for each member that is coming.
• Personal toiletries and medication if any for health.
• Warm clothes such as windproof jackets, full sleeve sweaters, thermals, woollen cap, woolen socks, mittens and scarf, and layers of clothes.
• Comfortable clothes such as tee-shirts, trousers or track pants for trekking.
• Raincoat or poncho to avoid rains just in case you're trekking in monsoon.
• Walking stick or trekking pole for support in trek.
• Comfortable trekking or hiking shoes that doesn't slip and be comfortable.
• Water bottles, backpack, energy bars or snacks, etc as refreshments.
• Mosquito and insect repellent if the need arrives.
• Personal accessories like Sunscreen lotion, Sunglasses, Camera, etc.
