• The Lakshman Jhula – The world famous Lakshman Jhula is a bridge hanging across the river Ganga that connects the two villages namely – Tapovan of the Tehri Garhwal District and the Jonk village in the Pauri Garhwal District.
The entire Lakshman Jhula is 450m long and set at an elevation of 70 feet from the river. This jhula ignites a wide amount of curiosity amongst the tourist because of the mythological associations with it. It is believed that Lord Ram’s brother Lakshman crossed the river at the same sight where the jhula stands today, mystically and majestically for the visitors to witness.
• The Ram Jhula - The Ram Jhula is a relatively new addition to Rishikesh. Ram Jhula was built in 1986 and is an iron suspension bridge over the river of Ganges (Sacred River of Hindus) and situated at Muni Ki Reti in Rishikesh of Uttarakhand. The bridge is similar in design and using same technology but bigger than the more popular Lakshman Jhula. • The Neelkantha Mahadeva Temple - The famous temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and is even named after him 'Neelkantha' as he is otherwise known.
