Dalhousie is located in the western region of Himachal Pradesh and one of the popular hill stations of Himachal Pradesh. It was founded back in the mid 18th century during the British era as a summer retreat. The town was named after the British Governor-General of India, Lord Dalhousie. The town still carries its ancient classic charm and reflects the feel of the British Raj.  Myriad travellers visit Dalhousie Hill Station which is the major contributor to the tourism industry of the state.
